Hompage - Ready To Help

Centers for Cancer Care brings World Class Cancer Treatment to you.

At The Centers for Cancer Care, we work diligently to help cancer patients become cancer survivors.

The Centers for Cancer Care bring state of the art cancer care to the communities of  Uvalde and Fredericksburg. We use advanced technologies, along with a caring and knowledgeable staff to treat the entire person, not just their diagnosis.

Our Centers are focused on providing quality cancer care to areas outside of major cities. We believe your time and energy should be spent fighting cancer, not traffic jams and scheduling problems.

Our technologies include IMRT, IGRT, Medical Oncology, BAT, Brachytherapy, dedicated treatment-planning CT scanning, as well as many other technologies that were formerly reserved to large cities.

In The Know

 Contact Congress Now!

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has proposed a 15 percent cut to radiation oncology reimbursements, including a 19 percent cut for free-standing centers.

The majority of the cuts stem from a change in the procedure times for Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) codes, reducing reimbursement for IMRT by 40 percent and SBRT by 28 percent beginning January 1, 2013.

According to a recent ASTRO membership survey, if imposed, these cuts could force some clinics to close, lay off staff or delay purchasing new equipment. The impact on cancer patients could be enormous.

Reps. Joe Pitts (R-Pa.) and Frank Pallone (D-N.J.) are trying to stop these cuts, but they need our help getting members of Congress to sign their letter to the administration opposing the cuts.

Please contact your member of Congress to ask them to sign these influential letters and help stop the cuts. Contact your Congress person today!
